Fashion does not work in isolation to the world and incorporates and takes on influence from everything whether politic, financial situations, or the changing of seasons. And indeed the spring/summer fashion for 2012 is emerging in stores. One site predicted as of January 2012 that this season’s fashion would promise a range from vibrant yellow to pastels, crop tops to flared skirts and shirts emphasizing hips, prints from travel and exotic to paisley, and Gatsby flapper flair to rustic American. And more. All these combinations make me a bit queasy thinking of the range and variety but it’s hard to say what will actually be successful in stores until it hits. But it certainly will be interesting to see how some trends like the women’s sport coat will translate to summer wear, and how designers and street style fashion wearers reinstate vintage and retro styles. Regardless, I can’t wait to break out my summer dresses again relearn to combine them in new ways and break out into new color schemes. Here’s a few images from http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk/galleries/TMG9012418/1/Fashion-trend-report-springsummer-2012.html where I found the fashion forecasts for this season.

Gatsby Glamour (unexpected but interesting)

Global Traveler (my personal favorite)

Bold Bouquet (in moderation?)
