The title of this post says it all. I have had an obsession with Kate Spade for years. I never knew designer-name-brands-known-for-their-bags could be so fun and inspiring. Call me a hipster, but I have a craving all for the NON mainstream, unique, (and sometimes weird) and altogether unheard of clothes that I can find and company known for their bags with their names on them usually don’t inspire me quite so much. But Kate Spade draws me in like none other. For years I have received their emails; the design of this company is one of the most innovative and exciting, from the web site to the products to the advertising to the stores.
Even if Kate Spade’s clothes are not your thing, and they’re a bit pricey and sometimes bit too old for me, there’s nothing quite like the way they run their company and sell their brand. With a mission of selling sophisticated color items and started by the woman, Kate Spade, who only wanted to find the right hand bag, the company inspires me to do the same. “Make the fashion you wish to see in the world” (to morph the ever famous Ghandi quote concerning change – probably more inspiring and meaningful to many as far as change goes but artistically applicable and equally invigorating).
